(3) Compere:Did i hear you say,what?Its simply the job of an MC-master of ceremony.If you know you are good with the Mic,then what are you still waiting for?Try it out at a friends party and seek for people"s opinion.If you are able to get the candid truth from them,then the sky wont even be your limit.Words of mouth will actually launch you.

(4) Writing:Writing about what now?Anything my friend,anything you know will get people"s attention eg,giving tips,marriage,career etc.Just write on a double sheet of paper,print it out and distribute it for free,remeber to leave space for advertisers.That is where you make the money from.You have to do a little bit of marketing here,you might have to visit some potential advertisers to tell them about your free magazine.

(5) Resume Writing:Almost the same has what we have above but in this case you must really be a "GURU"'at this ie You must be very good with words,try rewriting your friends resume for a token and see where that leads you to.

I have decided to start,but how much do i have?I have just N5000,less than $40,OMG what do i do with that?

A lot can be achieved with that.I will be giving a list of what one can actually do with that.If you search through the internet you will discover that most of the small businesses been spoken about can"t so much be practiced here in Nigeria or in Africa eg Pet keeper,home inventory business etc.


(1) Home tutoring:Did i hear you say what!Me home tutor?Yes home tutoring,you dont need any startup capital for this.What you need is less than a thousand naira,simply type out your contact nos and email address,make copies of it and give it out to people.Go to schools,(when i say schools i mean there are schools and there are schools),supermarkets,churches,mosques,anywhere people go to.I can assure you,just one person will get in touch.After you might have started your students( and their results),will refer you.

In less than 2yrs,you have so much students that you can't even meet up with the demand,so what do you do?

(2) Be a middleman:People are so busy these days that they need one domestic servant or the other.What you need to do here is to scout for domestic servants,have about 5-6 on ground and then source for people that needs them,(you have to be very careful here because domestic servants are not easy to deal with,explain your terms&conditions very well,i mean very well).I can assure you that through words of mouth you will have your own agency,you dont need to go looking for people they will come looking for you.Read more about this on www.questia.com/library. I have decided to start

Start what?Business of course,i know i have what it takes to start it.I need to be

(1) Specific-establish targets that can be easily measured,and use numbers as targets whenever possible.

(2) Realistic-Having high expectations is great,but make sure that you establish targets that are reasonable and potentially achievable.

(3) Aggressive-you can be realistic and still aim high.Dont set goals that are too easily achieved.

(4) Consistent-Beware of inadvertently setting inconsistent goals.

Starting your own business is a different ball game to whatever you might be doing or not doing before.It is a totally different lifestyle needing an enormous amount of commitment.It will eat so much into your time that you might consider giving it all up especially if it does not turn out the way you thought.

But the truth of the matter is we do not have enough jobs in Nigeria,and because we are strong,brilliant and smart,we need to have a mind set of how I as a person can start my own business with the little kobo i have

I am a graduate i dont have a job,but i am determined to make it in life,how?
There are 1001 small businesses i can go into,here in Nigeria and i will be the talk of the town,i will also be an employer of labour.I do not need huge amount of money to start with,besides i only have a few kobo.
